Ain’t too much these ol’ country boys can’t do. Perhaps I have a respect for the self determination and can do attitude of country folk because my father was raised on a farm in upstate New York. He was the oldest of four brothers who grew up in hard times during the Great Depression.
For myself, I was raised, educated and employed in New York City so I have one foot in the city and one foot on the farm. Respect for country folk must be in my DNA. This photo essay is about a group of Arkansas hunters coming out from Little Rock on a hunting and fishing expedition. There is a lot to be said for being able to live off the land. Before man invented concrete we were all living off the land so I think that it is a healthy endeavor to get back to nature at least once in a while.
